Wednesday 18 Sept: Welcome Reception
A welcome reception with light food and drinks is scheduled at the University of Gdańsk Campus, in the building of Faculty of Biology. No extra payment required (included in conference fee).
Thursday 19 Sept: Conference dinner
The conference party will take place on Thursday after the poster session at restaurant “Nad Potokiem” in Jelitkowo. No extra payment required (included in conference fee).
Saturday 21 Sept: Post-conference trip
We are now planning two excursions:
1) Gdańsk sighting with guide old town and vicinity, estimated duration: 4 hours. No extra payment required. Coffee/lunch at a local restaurant, paid individually. More details at the registration desk.
The number of participants for this trip is limited to 15; please note that places for the trip will be booked on a first come, first serve basis.
2) Visting a “Ptasi Raj” reserve and Biological Station of University of Gdańsk, at Wyspa Sobieszewska (ca 20 km from Gdańsk), estimated duration: 7 hours. We plan to get the reserve at the morning, and walk through the little wood and seashore to the Biological Station UG, for a distance of 6 km. At the Station we plan the lunch, and depending on wishes and weather permitting we will light a campfire in the garden of the Station to prepare the lunch or we will prepare and eat the lunch inside the Station building. Estimated duration 7-8 hours. Payment is required for this trip and will cover the cost of transportation to Wyspa Sobieszewska and lunch food. The price of the trips is still under negotiation but will not exceed 100 PLN. You can book this trip (and pay for it, in cash) at the reception during registration or during the welcome ceremony on Wednesday.
